GIULIO CESARE BORGIA PRIZE
The Giulio Cesare Borgia Prize for Young Researchers will be awarded. The Prize has been established with the following motivation: In memory of the contribution made by Giulio Cesare Borgia to the development of Magnetic Resonance in Porous Media and for the particular attention he always paid to the enthusiasm, passion, and courage of young people who undertook the difficult and adventurous path of scientific investigation in this fascinating area of research. The award will be presented to the emerging scientist who, based on a presentation to the community at the conference, shows greatest promise for future scientific leadership.

GENERAL INFORMATION
There will be three main categories of presentations: Invited Lectures, Contributed Oral Presentations and Posters.
All presenters (oral presentations and posters) are required to register before June 15, 2008.
Oral presentations
Invited Lectures have a length of 30 minutes, including 5 minutes for discussion;
Oral Communications have a length of 20 minutes, including 5 minutes for
discussion.
Presentations can be made using a computer-presentation, e.g. MS Powerpoint or Adobe Acrobat. You are kindly requested to bring the presentation file to the session chair to download to the room computer well before the session. A separate room may be set up for checking, if needed, your computer-presentation with a projector.
Poster format and schedule
A Poster must consist of a single sheet with the maximum dimensions of 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall (or 0.9 x 1.2 meters). Poster display schedule is:
Odd-numbered posters are to be presented during the Monday poster session.
Even-numbered posters are to be presented during the Tuesday poster session.
Wednesday poster session is for informal discussions
Conference Proceedings (link)
Presenters of all invited and contributed talks will have the opportunity to submit papers for inclusion in a special conference proceedings of the MRPM9, published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) http://www.aip.org/proceedings, as part of their Conference Proceedings Series. The maximum length of the manuscript will be 4 printed pages in a single column, 8.5 X 11 inch format. For instructions and sample paper, please visit AIP. Each MRPM9 participant with full registration will obtain a copy of the proceedings. The conference proceedings will also be available on-line at AIP website.
Papers based on accepted posters, and any manuscripts that exceed the AIP proceedings page limit, will be published in a special edition of the on-line journal Diffusion Fundamentals http://www.uni-leipzig.de/diffusion/journal/. This special edition will also include abstracts of all accepted contributions to the conference. The maximum length of manuscripts based on posters is 3 pages.
All manuscripts submitted for the AIP Proceedings and Diffusion Fundamentals will be peer reviewed. Instructions and sample paper of Diffusion Fundamentals can be obtained from the journal website. Instruction for submission can be found in here.
The deadline for the submission of manuscripts is July 14, 2008.
